New Life Counseling New Life Counseling is a Christ-centered counseling ministry of Arizona Baptist Children's Services.  We serve individuals, couples and families who are looking for new answers to old problems.  Our goal is to help our clients move beyond their old life of problems and stress to a new life of peace and healing by helping provide effective solutions and coping strategies.  These strategies are based on Christian principles, integrated with recognized counseling techniques aimed at pointing people to a loving and caring God.

Our Staff

Our counselors have training and experience in many specialty areas and can provide services to both children and adults.  Bilingual and multi-cultural counseling is also available.

Tucson Counselors

George Gomez :

George Gomez is the Pastor of Vail Valley Baptist Church, he has 15 years of experience in counseling and a heart to support individuals and families. He is available to meet with clients on the Northwest side of Tucson on Tuesdays between 12:00-7:00p.m. at Desert Son Community Church (5250 W. Cortaro Rd., Tucson, Arizona 85742). And he is available to meet with clients on Wednesdays between 9:00a.m.-4:00p.m. at the ABCS office (1779 N. Alvernon Way, Tucson, Arizona 85712). Lorena Diaz:

Lorena is uniquely trained in play therapy with her modality of choice being sand tray and she is fluent in Spanish. Her specialty is trauma (i.e. sexual abuse, neglect, grief and loss, and divorce). She is available to work with children, parents, families, and caregivers. Lorena's office is right next to the ABCS office and appointments can be made by calling (520) 795-7541.

Fees

Fees range from $40 to $80 per session* and are based on family income. For those who would otherwise be unable to receive counseling we attempt to subsidize counseling through church gifts when funds allow. Arrangements need to be made prior to appointments if you are interested in subsidized counseling.
