Foster Care

Program

The goal of the Arms of Love Foster Care Program is to ensure that every child has a safe, loving, Christian home to reside in while they are unable to be in their own home.

About Us!

ABCS is a licensing agency contracted by the State of Arizona who works in partnership with foster parents to help them provide the best possible care to meet the varied and often challenging needs of the children in their homes. We recognize the extraordinary role foster parents play in the lives of needy children and applaud their tenacity and commitment.

We maintain open and supportive relationships with foster families. Our services include monthly home visits, regular telephone contact, ongoing training and foster parent recognition events, material support and prayer support.

Arms of Love Foster Care Program seeks families who are Christian, active in a local evangelical church and agree with the ABCS statement of Faith.

If you are at least 21 years of age, have space in your home for additional children and have a stable income, you meet the general guidelines. You can be married, single or divorced. You must meet basic safety requirements, and you need to complete some paperwork and training.

There is no charge

How long do foster children typically stay in a foster home?

The length of time a child stays in your home can range from hours to months

Yes. You will specify this information on a questionnaire that will be discussed with your licensing worker before a child is placed in your home.

Once a child has been placed in your home, you will receive a monthly reimbursement. The daily rate will be based on the age of the child and the extent of the care that is required.

yes. All foster children  are covered by the State Medical Plan, which includes all medical, dental and prescription costs.
