New Life Staff

The New Life counselors have training and experience in many specialty areas and can provide services to both children and adults. Bilingual and multi-cultural counseling are also available.

Tucson Counselors

Lorena Diaz: Lorena is uniquely trained in play therapy with her modality of choice being sand tray therapy. Her specialty is trauma (i.e. sexual abuse, neglect, grief and loss and divorce). She is available to work with children as well as their parents, caregivers and families. Lorena is fluent in Spanish. Lorena's office is next door to ABCS.

George Gomez: George Gomez is the Pastor of Vail Valley Baptist Church. He has 20 years of experience in counseling and a heart to support individuals, couples and families. He is available to meet with clients on the Northwest side of Tucson on Tuesdays at Desert Son Community Church (5250 W Cortaro Farms Rd. 85742) and on Wednesdays at the ABCS office (1779 N. Alvernon Way 85712).

Fees

Fees range from $40-$80 per session* and are based on yearly gross income. For those who would otherwise be unable to receive counseling, we attempt to subsidize counseling though church gifts when funds are available.

*There is a $25 Missed Appointment Fee for "no shows" and cancellations made without at least a 24 hour notice.

Church Counseling Program

The Church Counseling Program is a partnership between New Life Counseling and local churches. Counseling is offered at a reduced rate with a portion of the fee being subsidized by the church.
